Learn Spanish and Speak Like a Baby (Part 1)
Something which has always stuck in my mind is how someone once told me how newcomers to the Spanish speak. She said that we speak like babies when we learn Spanish, and I guess this is true of any language you care to learn.
So with this in mind let’s look at a few ways of using this knowledge to help us learn Spanish and use it in a better way.
Watch Cartoons
A great way to pick up new words and expressions is by watching kids TV programmes. I don’t mean the Teletubbies, as I believe they say “eh oh” in every language known to man. I once got quite addicted to Dora and to those cute little animals that fly about saving other animals. As the programmes are aimed at kids they tend to repeat things a lot (“¿a donde vamos? ¿a donde vamos? ¿a donde..” ) and also use clear phrases. Some even mix it up between Spanish and English, which helps give your ears and brain a rest.
